EXPLORING THE MYSTERIOUS WORLD OF BAIRD'S BEAKED WHALES

Baird’s Beaked Whales inhabit deep offshore waters, are found in fairly small groups, dive for long periods, and therefore are rarely observed. Baird’s Beaked Whales are found only in the North Pacific and are the largest of the Beaked Whales. Sightings of these animals usually occur in the Spring in Monterey Bay.
